Michael Richard, President of Silicon Hills Associates Inc., brings over twenty years experience in low voltage electronic systems including security (access control, point monitoring, closed circuit television), fire alarm detection and suppression, nurse call, fiber optics, intercom and master clocks. 

 

Upon graduation from the University of Lowell, College of Engineering, Mr. Richard began work as a Technical Representative for Centex Fire and Time, Inc., a small design, installation and service company dealing primarily with fire alarm detection and suppression systems, and master clock systems. 

 

Following this introduction into the electronic systems business, Mr. Richard worked for JWP Electronic Systems, Inc. which later became Maris Equipment Company, then Security Technologies Group (acquired by Siemens).  This company provided design, installation, maintenance and service of various electronic systems, with a strong focus on security systems integration.  During his tenure with JWP/Maris/STG, Mr. Richard gained extensive experience dealing with all facets of estimating, sales, project management, field installation, maintenance and service of various electronic systems with an emphasis on medium and large scale security systems for commercial and governmental customers, as well a few high-end residential applications.  Mr. Richard held positions of Field Coordinator, Senior Project Manager, District Operations Manager and Regional General Manager for the company.  In addition, while employed in these capacities Mr. Richard held NICET - CET certification (fire alarm) and successfully tested through the highest level, IV.

 

Mr. Richard gained significant system design experience working as a Project Engineer for Schiff and Associates, Inc., a security consulting and engineering firm.  In this capacity, Mr. Richard traveled throughout the United States to work with various Fortune Five Hundred Companies to develop plans and specifications, coordinate with Owners, AHJ’s, Architects, Engineers and Contractors, and provide direction concerning the installation and implementation of various security systems.

 

Mr. Richard’s most recent position of Regional Operations Manager with ISR Solutions afforded him the opportunity to build a new and very successful office from the ground up.  Again, in this capacity, Mr. Richard gained invaluable experience in all facets of the security business including sales, design, project management, installation, maintenance and service.
